HOUSE STYLE

In lieu of defining our house style, I have a habit of saying,“I am a sarto(tailor) who makes good, simple suits.”occasionally I would add that“it is the hardest suit to make.”

01

A Florentine giacca(jacket), with its characteristic dartless front, encapsulates what I would identify as the Florentine sense of beauty. While it lacks the palpable waist suppression from the front, I believe it more than makes up for it in its relaxed elegance. It is the cleanest and the most refined silhouette I know.

02

Our suits are constructed with the minimum internal structure possible. It means that the precise use of hand stitch and iron work becomes absolutely necessary to give them shape and longevity(each suit often takes upwards of 80 hours of handwork). It is the reason why I believe it to be ‘the hardest suit to make’.

03

Sartoria Salabianca is operated as a small team of artisans. I personally greet clients at the door, take their measurements, draft the pattern, cut out each cloth, and sew and press the suits myself. This allows me to customize the garment at every step of the process. I believe it represents the essence of what is commonly referred to as the art of sartoria(bespoke tailoring). Each suit we create is customized for a specific client and built by my own hands on Via dei Rustici 5, Firenze.
